High five to the Post-nup show team!

In line with our regular mentions of general creative multi-media we like- and in particularly related to the genre of comics and animations... If you havn't discovered them already, let us introduce you to the talented folks who created Badmash and who now add to their comic book-esque repertoire- Introducing to your very own personal thought bubbles... and email inboxes- the weekly dose of the Post-nup show

For married sapiens amongst you- you will most likely identify with the plot of this ongoing weekly animated video series- and you may even see a glimpse of yourselves in the story-lines. The scripts are well-written and quite charming, and we really dig the whole style of the animation. In terms of the humor- think Family Guy meets Marge and Homer Simpson- with maybe a little more creatively enhanced realism and added depth.

It kinda also reminded me of a cartoon comic strip (no pun intended!) which appeared in The Sun newspaper when I was a child- entitled George and Lynne. Your every day kinda married couple- except they were liberal, quite new age at heart, and erm... nudists! I can recall sneaking a read of these daily print cartoons... and as quite a naive and innocent kid- it always puzzled me why George and Lynne decided to conduct their everyday chores in the nuddy! To this day I havn't figured that one out, but i still say thanks to the late great artist and Journalist Conrad Frost who created the cartoon- i think Lynne may have been my 1st animated crush... afterwards came long line of more- Wonder Woman, Betty Boo, Penelope Pittstop, Jessica Rabbit, Pocahontas... (im getting quite worried that this list is quite long!)

Anyways, back to Post-Nup- and In the words of the Post-Nup team themselves:

'Post-Nup is set in San Francisco. An Indian “web entrepreneur” (Omar) is married to a Jewish lawyer (Gaby). You got it; there are no happy in-laws in this equation. But these two are going to make some bad-ass business babies, if they ever procreate. Right now, they’re just trying to stay married.

Each heart-wrenching, tear-jerking episode examines what it means to be man and wife. We look at their recurring thoughts, their deepest desires, and their struggle to understand what marriage means.

And we do it all in under 3 minutes.'

Here is one of the episodes from the series:

Also check out the Ackcomic site which is another very original and quirky online comic strip by the same guys and again they bring regular doses straight to your inbox. Interestingly inspired by the characters and art style from the Hindu epic book Mahabharat- we at Creating Heroes really love this project too!

Send them loadsa love + respect for the great work! Aaah go on... you know you wanna!
