You still gotta love that moolah!

Marshmallows-480
(Due to posting problems with posterous over the last few days- this post got delayed- not that you would have noticed!!!)

It came to our attention that our previous blog post may have given out an impression that due to the history of money and the financial systems all around us- that we do not have a loving relationship with money. Far from it- we as much as anyone else are aware that in the world we live in- trade, money, business, enterprise, and working for money is something that is necessary in order to gain levels of freedom in terms of choices and of course for the many necessities of life. Money in abundance will then bring you the comforts that go alongside with this and will enable you to then do good things with that abundance. We also have families and friends who rely on regular and adequate revenues of money for them to survive.

We have operated in two worlds during many of our own careers- often balancing broad involvements with grass roots community development projects alongside a love for creative expression and Media. Many of us by day or in our spare time help those who may require support or are in need, and by night or on weekends are often present amongst celebrities at red carpet events and mingling with very affluent and influential people indeed. This has helped to maintain perspective, and keep us grounded on many levels.

Now although we have seen first-hand the effects lack of money can have on individuals, communities and businesses even- we teach people to love money. We teach people to associate money with positive thoughts- rather than hating or resenting their lack of money in any given situation.

Personally, i grew up in a household where my father had a negative relationship with money and finance. This shaped my view for many years as I saw what the result of success and failures did to someone who I held in great regard. I am also consciously aware of the effects on society which promotes money in often irresponsible manners.

But the fact remains- we must all encourage positive relationships with our moolah and sources of receiving- and empower those who may lack the awareness to be able to do so. Teach our children the values of working hard towards reaching success and money, and trying to sway away from the countless amount of temptations that are out there to get rich quick or make a fast buck as they say.

Money is a necessity in all of our lives- FACT. Someone famously said, and I personally am still testing this theory- Money does not bring happiness. Happiness brings money. Do you agree?

There are some really well-produced short videos on youtube which promote tips and tricks towards how you can attract money to yourself. There are also many websites that are dedicated to how you can manage your money and finances effectively and encourage positive affirmations related to your own situations. Do your own research, talk to people with money, and then talk to people without. Think about your own thoughts about money and how you feel daily- you may be surprised at what you notice.

Now go out and promote this fact to anyone you feel may not have a balanced appreciation for money. Educate yourself and your children and family members about the history of money, the value of money- and as in the lyrics from the following Hip Hop track, then get yourself out on the streets (underpants on the outside of your trousers is optional!) and: "Shake your money makers!!!"
